The Course Committees are composed of one student from each year and an equal number of lecturers from the course, with one of them serving as Programme Director.
The Course Committees are responsible for:
- discussing the suitability of the syllabus content in relation to the nature and objectives of the course;
- analysing and proposing guidelines to promote academic success;
- acting as the first instance in resolving pedagogical conflicts arising within the course;
- to issue an opinion on proposals for curricular changes to the course;
- to prepare the annual report on the course activities in accordance with the model defined by the IPB Standing Council.
The Programme Director is responsible for:
- representing the course before the School’s governing bodies;
- coordinating the projects of the course units and ensuring their proper functioning;
- to coordinate the scientific and pedagogical activities of the respective course and ensure compliance with the duties of academic staff, namely in the preparation of projects, summaries and assessments;
- to ensure that the learning outcomes of the various course units contribute to the overall training objectives defined for the course;
- to organise and issue an opinion on general or individual proposals for the substitution of course units;
- to coordinate tutoring activities and final internship/project activities;
- to coordinate the preparation of the annual summary report of the course activities.
