The Pedagogical Council is organised as an Assembly, with equal representation of academic staff and students, and into Programme Committees.
The responsibilities of the Pedagogical Council include:
- to issue an opinion on pedagogical guidelines and teaching and assessment methods;
- to promote the implementation of regular surveys on the pedagogical performance of the School or the Institute, analyse and disseminate the results, and propose improvement measures;
- to promote the evaluation of the pedagogical performance of academic staff, both by themselves and by students, analyse and disseminate the results, and propose improvement measures;
- to consider complaints regarding pedagogical shortcomings and propose the necessary measures;
- to approve the regulations governing student assessment;
- to issue an opinion on the academic progression regulations;
- to issue an opinion on the creation of courses and on the study plans of the courses offered;
- to issue an opinion on the establishment of academic prizes;
- to issue an opinion on the academic calendar and the School’s examination schedules;
- to liaise with the Student Provider.
