The Director of the School of Technology and Management is assisted by two Deputy Directors, to whom they delegate or sub-delegate the responsibilities considered appropriate for the effective functioning of the School.

The responsibilities of the Director of the School include:

• to represent the School before the other bodies of the Institute and externally;
• to chair the Technical-Scientific and Pedagogical Councils;
• to appoint and dismiss the School Secretary, when such a position exists;
• to appoint the Vice-President of the Technical-Scientific Council from among the members elected to that body;
• to appoint the Vice-President of the Pedagogical Council from among the members elected to that body;
• to oversee the School’s internal services and approve the necessary regulations;
• to issue an opinion on the academic calendar and approve the timetable for teaching activities, after consulting the Technical-Scientific Council and the Pedagogical Council;
• to implement the decisions of the Technical-Scientific Council and the Pedagogical Council when they are binding;
• to prepare and submit the School’s activity plan for higher approval, as well as the corresponding activity report;
• to exercise the disciplinary authority assigned by the President of the Institute.
