The School of Technology and Management (ESTiG) of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança will host, on 30 May 2026, the VII Scientific Conference, under the theme “Management with Awareness: Ethics, AI and Sustainability in SMEs”.

The initiative is promoted within the scope of APNOR – Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance and Master’s Degree in Management of Organisations, bringing together specialists, researchers, lecturers, and students for a reflection on current challenges in management, business ethics, Artificial Intelligence, and sustainability in small and medium-sized enterprises.

The programme will begin at 10:00 with the reception of participants, followed by the opening session with the participation of Orlando Rodrigues, President of IPB, Nuno Ribeiro, Director of ESTiG, Ana Paula Monte, Director of the Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance (APNOR), and Paula Odete Fernandes, Director of the Master’s Degree in Management of Organisations (APNOR).

The plenary session will include presentations dedicated to the ethical aspects of the use of AI in the Certified Accountant profession, the ethical implications of AI use in research and financial management practices within organisations, and sustainability in SMEs, addressing ethical challenges and impacts on management.

The event will also include presentations of scientific papers, parallel sessions in the fields of Accounting and Taxation, Finance and Management, as well as the award ceremony for the best scientific poster.

The VII Scientific Conference reinforces the commitment of ESTiG/IPB to the promotion of scientific knowledge, applied research, and the discussion of strategic topics for the future of organisations and society.
