With specialised staff supporting research, innovation, projects and fundraising, the Project Support Office (GAP) is available to support the entire ecosystem at the various stages of the scientific process.

GAP is the permanent technical and administrative support structure responsible for promoting, fostering and disseminating all research activities. GAP is composed of two sections: the science and technology management section and the administrative and financial management section. 

Science and Technology Management

The science and technology management section is responsible for: (1) preparing institutional and strategic applications, namely for attracting investment for infrastructure, equipment or human resources; (2) promoting, fostering and monitoring research and innovation projects (identifying and communicating business needs and ideas; selecting funding mechanisms and seeking strategic partners; supporting the exploitation of results through dissemination in technology supply/demand catalogues and the registration and licensing of industrial/intellectual property; monitoring scientific output and relevant indicators); (3) coordinating science communication activities.

Administrative and Financial Management

The administrative and financial management section is responsible for supporting the administrative and financial preparation of project applications and ensuring the administrative and financial management of approved projects, particularly by ensuring that all information is properly documented and recorded on IPB’s electronic project management platforms.
