What is a Professional Higher Technical Course (CTeSP)?
Professional Higher Technical Courses (CTeSP) are a new type of short-cycle higher education programme. Completion of a CTeSP awards a Professional Higher Technician Diploma, corresponding to level 5 of the National Qualifications Framework. A CTeSP comprises 120 credits and has a duration of four academic semesters, with the final semester carried out in a work-based context.
Who can apply to a CTeSP?
The following may apply for enrolment in a CTeSP:
- holders of a secondary education qualification or a legally equivalent qualification;
- individuals who have passed the specially designed examinations intended to assess the capacity of candidates aged over 23 to attend higher education, taken for the respective course;
- holders of a technological specialisation diploma, a professional higher technician diploma, or a higher education degree who wish to undertake professional requalification.
