Admission requirements
The following may apply for the CTeSP: those who hold a secondary education course or legal equivalent; those who have been approved in the exams specifically directed to assessing the ability of applicants over 23 to attend higher education, exams that were taken within the desired degree, in accordance with the Law no. 64/2006, 21st March; those who have a diploma in technological specialisation or of higher professional technician or another higher education degree that seek to achieve their professional requalification.

Qualification requirements and regulations
2 Years. 3240 total Hours. 120 ECTS Credits; 1 credit corresponds to 27 hours. It includes an internship comprising 30 credits.
Study program profile
Key learning outcomes
The diploma of professional superior technician is awarded after a study cycle of 120 credits, which includes three training components: general and scientific (12 credits), technical (78 credits) and in the work context (30 credits). To complete the course, students must pass all curricular units in the study plan. The diploma of higher professional technician in Civil Construction is awarded to students who demonstrate, in this area: a) Prepare and supervise the performance of tasks and develop work instructions on construction sites, and organize the construction site in compliance with regulatory requirements and technical specifications contained in the Specifications. b) Control the quality and processes of receiving materials and components of technical installations, as well as the quality of the construction processes of buildings and infrastructures related to the execution of the elements to support the execution of construction works. c) Organize and implement safety and health measures on construction sites, in compliance with legislation and technical standards, framing good practices in the use of protective equipment. d) Implement, in the execution phase, sustainability practices aimed at optimizing the consumption of natural resources and energy, taking into account the optimization of technical solutions, maintenance options and replacement of technical systems of buildings and installations. e) Plan the selection and use of construction equipment, taking into account the specifics of the work and the order book of the construction company. f) Prepare measurements, quantity maps and parts of the Budget, both in the preparation phase and in the execution phase of the work, and prepare and prepare daily sheets of manpower and equipment resources, and material consumption record sheets for further cost control. g) Prepare the planning documents for the execution of works at different stages of the construction process, ensuring compliance and control of deadlines and, throughout the evolution of the work, prepare the data for the monthly preparation of measurement records and reorganize the works given the typology of the work contract, errors, omissions and unforeseen events. h) Record, analyze and prepare the data for the elaboration of documents related to the control of costs throughout the evolution of the works, with a view to the budgetary control of the work.

Access to further study cycles
The holders of a higher professional technician diploma can access to a bachelor's degree and to an integrated master's degree. Access and enrolment is done by means of a special application enshrined in a particular law.
