Online Academic Services
The Academic Services are responsible for the technical and administrative management of all academic procedures carried out throughout each student’s academic journey.
Student support is provided in person, by telephone, or through the online service desk available on the portal online.ipb.pt.
This portal, among other features, allows students to access a range of IPB digital academic services, including: payment of tuition fees, requests for academic documents, consultation of academic service records, and management of the student card account balance.

Online platform that provides access to the summaries of each course unit, attendance records/absences, and each student’s individual timetable.

Libraries
The IPB Documentation and Library Services support teaching and research, with the primary aim of providing access to scientific, documentary and informational resources necessary for the development of the IPB academic community, as well as for other individuals or institutions. Among the services provided are access to scientific databases, acquisition of bibliographic materials, provision of bibliographic information, lending services (including interlibrary loan), and requests for ISBN and Legal Deposit.
Online Catalogue
IPB has a library (physical space) in each of its Schools. Through the online catalogue, it is possible to consult available books for borrowing and obtain information about their exact physical location.

Digital Library
The IPB Digital Library aims to disseminate and provide open access to the scientific output produced by the academic community, promoting the integration, sharing and visibility of scientific information, while ensuring the preservation of IPB’s intellectual heritage.

Research Data Repository
The data repository facilitates the storage, management, preservation and use of research data prepared or collected by IPB researchers or within collaborative research projects with other national or international institutions. Depositing research data in the IPB repository ensures adherence to good data curation practices, long-term preservation, and greater scientific dissemination.

Regional Memory
The Regional Memory is the institutional repository where documents of interest to regional culture may be deposited, provided they are in the public domain or submitted by those who hold the respective copyright.
The deposited documentation results from agreements established between IPB and other entities (public or private), with the aim of preserving knowledge for future generations.

Access to Digital Services
Digital Services
All users of the IPB academic community are provided with an IPB user account, created from the information registered in the academic system or other directories.
Its use enables access to various services, namely wireless network (eduroam), secure access to IPB’s private network resources, collaborative teaching tools, email, among others.
The MyCONFIG.CCOM Portal – myconfig.ipb.pt – allows users to configure various parameters related to Internet services provided by the IPB Communications Centre.

Anti-Plagiarism
IPB carries out numerous initiatives to promote the integrity of teaching and research. In this context, the anti-plagiarism software Turnitin is available to the entire academic community.
This software allows the verification of the originality of submitted work by comparing it with documents available in various databases and on the internet, generating a similarity report.
